Fix a failed to download list error on IPTV by checking the playlist URL, login format, account status, player import and network connection.

A playlist can fail to load because of a copied URL error, a temporary connection problem or a player that needs to be refreshed. Begin with the simple checks below.

Check the playlist details

  1. Copy the complete URL again without adding spaces or line breaks.
  2. Make sure the address begins exactly as provided, including https or http if included.
  3. Use the right field in the player app: playlist URL and portal URL are not always interchangeable.
  4. Confirm the device connection by opening another website or streaming app.

Refresh the player safely

Close the IPTV app, restart the device and add the playlist again. If the app has a refresh or reload option, use it after restarting. Avoid repeatedly creating duplicate playlists in the app while testing.

Still unable to import the playlist? Send support the name of your player and a screenshot of the error message with sensitive account details hidden.

Check whether the import failed or the list is hidden

Look for an import error, channel count or last-refresh message. A successful import with an empty favourites tab is different from a failed download. Switch to the full channel category and clear any search filter. If channels are listed but do not play, use the playback guide instead.

Confirm the URL type

An M3U link supplies a playlist; an EPG URL supplies programme listings. Entering the guide URL in the playlist field will not create playable channels. A provider's website homepage is also not a playlist. Compare the fields with our M3U versus Xtream Codes guide and request the correct account details if they are missing.

Refresh once and wait

Use the app's playlist refresh command and allow it to finish. Large libraries can take longer on older hardware. Repeated imports can create duplicate profiles and make diagnosis harder. Check available storage and app updates if the player closes during import. Record the error before clearing any data.

Check access and account status

  1. Copy the complete URL from the original activation message.
  2. Remove accidental leading or trailing spaces.
  3. Confirm the trial or subscription is still active.
  4. Ask support whether the server address has changed.

A locally saved playlist file can contain older entries even after an account is updated. Ask whether you should refresh a live URL or replace the local file. Do not edit dozens of channel addresses manually.

Handle private links carefully

Playlist URLs often act like credentials. Do not paste them into public forums, shared documents or third-party validation sites. Send a redacted error and your order reference through support. If channels load correctly but schedules remain empty, follow the EPG troubleshooting steps, which address the separate guide feed.

Send your device model, player version, error text and the checks you tried. Remove passwords and full account links from screenshots.
