LG Smart TVs use webOS, so available IPTV players can depend on your TV model and software version. Start by connecting the TV to a stable network and checking for system updates.

LG TV IPTV setup

  1. Open the LG Content Store and install a compatible IPTV player.
  2. Open the player and select the sign-in method that matches your account details.
  3. Enter the supplied playlist, portal or account information exactly.
  4. Wait for channels and guide data to import, then test playback.

Useful checks

If playback fails, restart the TV and player, then confirm Wi-Fi or Ethernet is working. Do not use account information from another device unless your plan includes an additional devices.

Find a player for your webOS version

Record your LG model and software version before choosing an app. Use LG's Content Store lookup, to check the country, model and app name. This is useful when a guide mentions an app that does not appear on your television. A player available in one region or on a newer model may not appear on yours.

Keep the app and subscription separate

An IPTV player is the software that opens your account or playlist. Its activation purchase does not necessarily include television content. Confirm any app fee and expiry separately from the Marinios plan price. Do not enter a Google Play purchase code into an LG app unless that app's publisher explicitly supports it.

Import the account carefully

Select the format that matches the credentials supplied by support. Paste the whole playlist URL into the playlist field, or enter server, username and password separately in a compatible account form. Read our account format comparison if unsure. Once saved, let the app finish loading rather than repeatedly adding duplicate profiles.

Make a short acceptance check

  1. Check one live channel and a second category.
  2. Confirm audio, remote response and the ability to return to the library.
  3. Set local time correctly and refresh guide data.
  4. Restart the app and check that the saved profile remains available.

For a blank library, follow the playlist troubleshooting guide. For a stream that starts and then pauses, use the buffering checks. A factory reset is disruptive and should not be your first response to one failing app. Contact support with the model, app version and exact symptom before clearing saved settings.
