Samsung Smart TVs can run IPTV through compatible television apps. Available apps and installation steps can vary by TV generation and region, so check your model and keep its software updated before starting.
Before you begin
- Connect the TV to stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Check that the TV date and time are correct.
- Have your player app and account details ready.
Setup steps
- Open the TV app store and install the player recommended for your device.
- Launch the app and select its account or playlist sign-in option.
- Enter the credentials exactly as supplied.
- Wait for the app to finish importing the playlist and guide data.
- Play a channel to confirm video and sound are working.
Common Samsung TV checks
If the app cannot load, restart the TV fully, verify the connection and reopen the player. A TV that has not been updated for a long time may not support the same apps as newer models. Contact us with your model number if you need help identifying the right setup method.
Check your model and store region
Find the TV model and software version in its support or information menu. Search the TV's Apps area for a player that supports the login details you have. Samsung's official app instructions explain how to search, install and manage TV apps. App availability can vary, so do not assume a player shown in a US tutorial is available on a UK television.
Understand player activation
Some television players have a separate activation fee or trial period. That payment is for the player and should not be confused with your Marinios subscription. If an app displays a device identifier or pairing code, use only the activation site shown by the verified app publisher. Do not post pairing information or account links publicly.
Enter your playlist or account login
Confirm whether the player expects a full M3U playlist link or separate server, username and password fields. Use the details exactly as supplied. Samsung Tizen apps do not use the same installation packages as Android TV. If your preferred app is unavailable, ask about another compatible player or a supported external streaming device before buying new hardware.
Verify picture, sound and guide
- Wait for the library import to finish.
- Play a channel and test another category.
- Check that audio is present and the remote can exit playback normally.
- Review the local time in the programme guide.
If channels load but the picture stays dark, use the black screen guide. If the entire library is missing, start with playlist loading checks. Test your actual TV during a trial before choosing a longer subscription.
